Bootsy Collins!

I bought a Greatest Hits album of my favorite funk musician, Bootsy Collins, over Christmas. This is my favorite song on the album, Hollywood Squares:
Here’s a Bootsy bass solo, which, honestly, I included for the guy standing in boots and a diaper at the back of the stage. But I love Bootsy’s solo on its own.
They are still remaking Bootsy’s music, as witnessed by Beyonce’s version of “I’d Rather Be With You”:
My money’s on Bootsy’s original.
Here he is in what could be his most famous performance (albeit as a member of the supporting cast).
And here’s Bootsy (and other Nashville session musicians including Jerry Douglas) performing as the GrooveGrass Boyz (Sorry about the sound quality, but I love odd stuff, and the concept of funk-country is one of the oddest I have ever seen. This was the only video I could find).
